The invitation to take over as Chairman of the Town’s Football Club came out of the blue as I have been away from professional football for over 15 years. In the short time that I have been involved, I have met some really great parents and more importantly some really enthusiastic children.
Future results are not confined to the final score of the three teams in our control. Results will be gauged by attendances, skill improvements and the willingness to learn.
As a licensed FA Coach, we will be operating to the four corner standards set out by the FA. My old school motto was “only your best is good enough” – therefore, as long as the children strive to reach personal goals , the Club will be seen to be successful.
