Playing grassroots football in the UK we are incredibly privileged to be able to enjoy football as a pastime and hobby, but for many people living in some of the world’s poorest communities it offers something much more important, hope.
Over the past three seasons Campden Football Club created a ‘Boot and Kit Bank’ so that we could re-use unwanted boots and kit to aid underprivileged children in the UK and overseas.
The whole contents of our boot and kit bank were delivered by hand to the children of Msembweni, Kenya. In total from all donations: 63 pairs of boots, 100 shirts, 40 pairs of shorts, 50 pairs of socks, 3 footballs, 2 sets of training bibs, 2 pairs of shin pads, a set of referee’s cards and one whistle!
